Dreamcatchers
Our Dreamcatchers exercise fine motor skills and make a beautiful finished product.
Dreamcatchers were originally created by the indigenous people of North America. Their beauty and spirituality have captured the imagination. Weaving the intricate webbing of the dreamcatcher is a challenging exercise in fine motor skills for younger students, and is great to accompany a cultural studies lesson.
Personalise the activity by adding your own twist e.g. nature walk (leaves, flowers, grass, bark), or a photo of the child (terrific for father’s day/mother’s day). Dreamcatchers are wonderful for goal setting or reflection activities, allowing the inclusion of motivational words and significant objects.
