The Kite Crew uses DuPont™ Tyvek® polyurethane material for sails, not flimsy plastic or paper. Tyvek® material is waterproof, tear-resistant, and durable.

• Our kite-building kits are designed to provide finished products which will launch easily and fly high.

• Our kite struts are bamboo or strong fibreglass. All kites have the option of upgrading to a deluxe handle, which minimises knots and enhances the kite flying experience.

• The finished product is fully customisable — crayons, paint, glitter, and other decorative mediums can be used on Tyvek®, allowing your child’s creativity to fly high!

  • Usable mediums: Paint, crayon, pencil, glue, glitter

  • Non-usable mediums: Pen (felt and ink wipe off), clay and other heavy materials

• Everything is included with the product kit, except decorative materials. A ready-to-fly sample provides a visual of the finished project. Each kit comes with easy-to-follow (or not, for the adventurous teacher!) instructions; we also provide ideas on our Schools page.
