Parachute Pegs
This age-old favorite encourages perseverance and the building of fine motor skills in children.
It combines a small parachute with a wooden peg person. Both sail and peg can be decorated: markers, crayons, paints, and so forth for the sail, while pom-poms, pipe cleaners, and other flair are appropriate for the peg person.
While the Parachute Peg is great fun, dropping it from a window (with supervision, of course) can provoke insightful realizations in students studying wind themes, weather, or physics — among other subjects!
